56 Fulton Street
New York, NY

This 23-story, 120-unit mixed-use rental project, with ground floor divisible space, sits between Cliff and Gold Street in the financial district of Manhattan. The façade’s mix of masonry and glass coupled with acute and obtuse angles and niches will stand tall and proud when completed in the summer of 2017.

Construction manager, Bravo Builders LLC, turned to HDK as the best choice for the façade portion of the project. HDK teamed with Aluprof USA and began working intently with architects Goldstein Hill & West in the design and coordination between the alternating brick piers and stone elements, window wall units, punched window openings, PTAC units and louvers, slab edge covers, balcony railings, and waterproofing systems.

The façade installation required 90,000 CMU units, 290,000 blended Ashlar brick, decorative stone bands and stone sills, 30,000 sq.ft. of window wall, 8,500 sq.ft. of punched window openings and 1,200 Lft. of railings and was successfully completed in 2018.

325 Lexington Avenue
New York, NY

325 Lexington, a smartly planned luxury 33-story condominium tower sits in the Murray Hill neighborhood of midtown Manhattan. Featuring 123 studio, one and two-bedroom residences and two full floor penthouses designed by Thomas O’Hara of HTO Architect. The slightly cantilevered 325 Lexington opened its doors in summer 2014.

In fall 2012, having successfully entered into a contract with the construction manager, Time Square Construction (TSC), HDK began its pre-construction obligations. Along with the design team, including HTO Architect, TSC, and the curtain wall designer and distributor, Aluprof USA, HDK Construction participated in reviewing and finalizing visual mock-ups and designs.

HDK Construction began the façade installation at 325 Lexington, which consisted of decorative rain screen paneling at the bulkhead, stick built storefront entries, canopies, and clad-in power coated aluminum extrusions to match the lower portion of the tower.

The led lighting integrated into the rain screened clad bulkhead on 325 Lexington lends a warm aura to the peak of this beautiful glassy tower, making its stance in the city skyline unmistakably evident.
